National Musem of Mexico

Yet another great find. The National Palace.. WOW! Mexican Troops literally marched the flag in and out in a beautiful ceremony. Twice a day 365 days a year. Took over an hour to complete the process. Inside the Palace there is a Mural the length of the side of the building ( over a block ) and from floor to ceilings ( 20'). The entire historical time line is painted.. AWESOME

Metropolitan Cathedral - Mexico City

Building of the Metropolitan Cathedral was on going for 250 years. The building began in 1573 and "completed" in 1813. Consecrated in 1656. If you ever get this awesome opportunity be sure and hire a guide from outside the Cathedral ( they'll offer their service as you go in). These guides are very knowledgable and explain everthing including who or what the shrines repersent. The stories are .This visit REALLY fed my addiction to History. AWESOME find! With no knowledge of what to see, I just started walking thru town from the hotel and was astonished at what I found.

The breathtaking , solid Gold Alter within the Metropolitan Cathedral in Mexico City.. It's hard to believe until your standing in front bending back your neck to take is all in..
